Savaş, en eski devirlerden günümüze kadar toplulukların, devletlerin birbirlerine karşı üstünlük kurmak, taleplerini kabul ettirmek amacıyla başvurdukları nihaî bir araç konumundadır. Çıkış sebepleri farklı olmakla birlikte savaşların sonuçları ve etkileri gerek bireyler gerekse topluluklar üzerinde daima yıkıcı olmuştur. İşte temel sorunsalı insan olan edebî eserler ve dolayısıyla öykü türü de sonuçları hemen her alanı, ama daha çok da insanı etkileyen bu olguya karşı ilgisiz durmamıştır. Her dönemin edebiyat ürünlerinde savaş, bazen gerçekliğin yansıması bazen de bütünüyle hayal ürünü olarak çeşitli boyutlarıyla ele alınmış ve bu yolda pek çok eser ortaya konmuştur. Azerbaycan edebiyatının yeni nesil yazarlarından Elçin Hüseynbeyli de savaş olgusuna kayıtsız kalmayan yazarlardan biridir. Hüseynbeyli eserlerinde savaşı, özellikle de Karabağ savaşının cephe gerisini birey, toplum ve mekân boyutlarıyla anlatılarına taşımış, bu olguyu çeşitli bakış açılarıyla eserlerinde kurgulamıştır. Bu yazının amacı, Elçin Hüseynbeyli'nin Sılaya Dönüş kitabında yer alan öykülerin savaş izleğinin incelenmesidir. İncelemek için yazarın beş tane öyküsü seçilmiş, metin odaklı bir bakışla savaşın “birey, toplum ve mekân” unsurları üzerindeki etkileri ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır.
The war is the ultimate tool that communities and states apply in order to gain superiority over each other and to make their demands accepted. Although there are various reasons for the outbreak of wars, the consequences and effects of wars have always been destructive to both individuals and communities. Therefore, literary works (and stories) - in which the main topic is human beings - have not been indifferent to the subject of war, the results of which affect pretty much everything but mainly people. In the literary works of each period, war has been dealt with in various dimensions; sometimes as a reflection of reality and sometimes as a product of imagination, and many works have been put forward in this way. Messager Huseynbeyli, one of the new generation writers of Azerbaijani literature, is one of the authors who did not remain indifferent to the phenomenon of war. Huseynbeyli - dealt with war, specifically behind the frontlines of the Nagorno-Karabakh War in terms of the individuals, the society and the location. The purpose of this article is to examine the war themes of the Nagorno-Karabakh War in the stories of Messengers Huseynbeyli's book, Return to the Homeland. Five stories of the author were chosen for examination and the effects of war on the element of "individus, the society and the location" were tried to be revealed from a text-oriented perspective.
