İnsan haklarının korunması ve hak ihlallerinin önlenmesinde sosyal çalışma görevlilerinin rolü büyüktür. Toplumsal değişim ve dönüşüm yeni insan hakları ihlallerini ortaya çıkarmıştır. İnsan haklarının, tarihsel süreç içinde yeni sosyo-ekonomik, siyasi, kültürel ve teknolojik değişimlerle içeriği gelişmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında sosyal çalışma görevlilerinin insan haklarına yükledikleri anlam, sosyal hizmet ve insan hakları arasındaki ilişki, insan haklarının içeriği ile ilgili görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma nitel bir çalışma olup, sosyal çalışma görevlileri ile yapılan mülakatlarla veriler elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında sosyal çalışma görevlileri, eşitlik teması altında insan haklarını tanımlamaktadır. İnsan hakları içeriğinin yaşam, eğitim, barınma kavramlarıyla oluşturulduğu, kuşak hakları ile ilgili sosyal çalışma görevlilerinin sıklıkla birinci ve ikinci kuşak haklarına dâhil olan haklar temelinde ifadelerini belirttikleri, insan hakları ile sosyal hizmet ilişkisinde de eşitlik, iletişim ve destek temalarının öne çıktığı görülmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen veriler dâhilinde insan haklarındaki yeni gelişmelere, yeni insan hakları ihlallerinin önlenmesine yönelik sosyal çalışma görevlilerinin niteliksel kazanımlara sahip olması gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Social workers have a great role in protecting human rights and preventing rights violations.Social change and transformation has revealed new human rights violations. The content of human rights has developed with new socio-economic, political, cultural and technological changes in the historical process.Within the scope of the study, it has been tried to determine the opinions of social workers about the meaning they attribute to human rights, the relationship between social work and human rights, and the content of human rights.The study is a qualitative study and data were tried to be obtained through interviews with social workers.Within the scope of the study, social workers define human rights under the theme of equality.It is seen that the content of human rights is formed with the concepts of life, education and housing, social workers related to generation rights often express their expressions on the basis of the rights included in the first and second generation rights, and the themes of equality, communication and support come to the fore in the relationship between human rights and social work.Within the scope of the data obtained, it has been concluded that social workers should have qualitative gains for new developments in human rights and the prevention of new human rights violations.
