Abstract:

This research, which aims to determine the perceptions of children who continue to pre-school education about the concept of "the teacher" by views on drawings and drawings, is a qualitative study in the model of the phenomenology (fenomenology). The study’s work group consists of a total of 125 children of 48-69 months who have studied in the official 3 kindergartens and 2 maternity schools connected with the Muş Provincial National Education Directorate. This research, which uses children's drawings and expressions about their drawings as a data collection tool, has been divided into conceptual categories with content analysis and examined in detail. The study found that children produced many flowers and human metaphors about the concept of "learning". It has also been shown that the collection of children’s perceptions about the concept of “the teacher” by detailing through drawings gives positive results and that the drawings can be used as a tool for children to transmit their feelings and thoughts.
