Lisans Düzeyinde Turizm Rehberliği Eğitimi Alan Öğrencilerin Akademik Motivasyonlarının Mesleğe Dönük Tutumlarına Etkisi

Abstract:

Çalışmanın amacı lisans düzeyinde turizm rehberliği eğitimi alan öğrencilerin akademik motivasyonlarının mesleğe dönük tutumlarında etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Veriler, literatüre dayalı geliştirilen bir anketin Türkiye’de lisans düzeyinde turizm rehberliği eğitimi alan 1105 öğrenciye uygulanmasıyla derlenmiştir. Anketler, öğrencilere 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında, turizm rehberliği bölümlerinde görevli öğretim elemanlarının yardımıyla, sınıf bazında kota örneklemesine göre, 10.02-20.03.2017 tarihleri arasında yüz yüze uygulanmıştır. Veriler korelasyon, faktör ve çoklu regresyon analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Lisans düzeyinde turizm rehberliği alan öğrencilerin mesleğe dönük olumlu tutum sergiledikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin içsel motivasyonlarının yüksek olduğu, mesleğe dönük tutumlarını en fazla etkileyen akademik motivasyonun dışsal akademik motivasyonları olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışma, lisans düzeyinde rehberlik eğitimi alan öğrencilerin, mesleklerine dönük olumlu tutum geliştirmelerine yönelik çeşitli öneriler ile son bulmaktadır.

Abstract:

The aim of the study is to determine the impact of academic motivations of students who receive tourism guidance training at the bachelor's level on their professional attitudes. The data were collected with the application of a literary-based survey to 1105 students who received tourism guidance training at the bachelor level in Turkey. The surveys were applied face-to-face to students in the spring semester of the 2016-2017 educational year, with the help of teachers in the departments of tourism guidance, according to the class-based quota sample, between 10.02-20.03.2017. The data is subject to correlation, factor and multiple regression analysis. Students who receive tourism guidance at the bachelor's level have been determined to show a positive attitude towards the profession. It has been revealed that the student’s internal motivation is high, the academic motivation that most affects their professional attitudes is the external academic motivation. The study ends with a variety of recommendations for students who receive a bachelor's level of guidance education to develop a positive attitude towards their professions.

This study aims to determine the effect of academic motivation of the undergraduate students of tourism guidance on their occupational attitudes. The data were collected by applying a questionnaire based on the literature to 1105 students who received tourism guidance education at undergraduate level in Turkey. The questionnaires were applied to the students face to face with the help of the lecturers in the tourism guidance departments in the spring semester of 2016-2017 academic year, according to quota sampling based on class. The data were subjected to correlation, factor and multiple regression analysis. It was determined that the undergraduate students of tourism guidance have positive attitudes towards their occupational attitudes. It was found that the intrinsic motivation of students were high, and the external academic motivation of students was the most affective one on their occupational attitudes. The study concludes with various suggestions for tourism guidance students to develop a positive attitude towards their occupational attitudes.
