Abstract:

Bu metinde, Marcel Duchamp’ın modern heykele dahil ettiği readymade kavramının her yönüyle incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Hazır yapım nesnelerin heykel olarak addedilerek sanat nesnesi olma derecesine yüceltilmesi, Batı’nın yüzyıllar boyunca oluşturduğu formalist sanata vurulmuş büyük bir darbe olmasının yanı sıra, modern çağda değişen sosyal düzenlerin sanatı güdümlü hale getirmesine karşı bir başkaldırı niteliğindedir. Sanatı, sanat yapıtını ve sanatçı kimliğini sorgulamaya açan bu yapımlar, plastik sanatları öz ve usul itibariyle derinden etkilemiştir.
