Abstract:

Gaziantep, which has an important place in Turkey in terms of industry, commerce, gastronomy and culture and arts, is also the ninth largest city in Turkey in terms of population. Gaziantep, which has hosted many cultures and civilizations, still hosts various cultures today. The existence of the Alevi-Bektashi community is known in Gaziantep, as in many cities in the Anatolian geography. In this study, based on the Cem House, which shows its existence in the Şehitkamil district, the central district of Gaziantep, the socio-cultural structure of the Alevi-Bektashi community, the religious rituals of the community's belief system and the content of the music they use in these rituals are included. This study was carried out with the cultural analysis model, one of the qualitative research methods. Along with the music of the congregation in the aforementioned Cem house, "Religious ritual and music culture" was emphasized. In this context, the form and repertoire analyzes of the works performed while performing the rituals and how these rituals are performed are included here, and it has been concluded that the sayings have a modal feature.
