Bu çalışmada Kur’an eğitiminin 14-18 yaş gençler üzerinde ahlakî gelişime etkisi önemi, gerekliliği, Kur’an okumanın özel karşılığı olan “tilâvet” kelimesinin Kur’an’daki anlam seyri, ahlak eğitimi ve Kur’an eğitiminin ahlakî gelişim üzerinde etkisinin olup olmadığına dair kavramlar ele alınmıştır. Araştırmada Kur’an eğitiminin teknik olarak öğre(t)nme şekillerinden bahsetmek yerine öğrenmenin yaşı, öğretilme mekânı, mahiyeti, öğretici unsuru, ebeveynlerin rolü, ahlak kavramı ve alınan Kur’an eğitiminin öğrencinin ahlakî gelişim düzeyine katkı sunup sunmadığına değinilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda Kur’an’ın lafzı, okunması, eğitim-öğretimi gibi hususların, birey üzerinde duygusal ve davranışsal olarak etki ettiği, gençlerin Kur’an’ın kendilerine manası ile öğretilmesi beklentilerinin olduğu, Kur’an eğitiminin ahlaka yansıdığı ve ahlakî tutum temin edecek sonuçlar doğuracağı bulguları elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca Kur’an eğitimi veren bazı görevlilerin pedagojik açıdan yeterli olmadığı, velilerin eğitim anlayışlarında çocukların öz saygısını bazen geri plana iterek şahsiyetlerine zarar verebilecek bir tutum sergiledikleri tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, the effect of Qur'an education on moral development on young people aged 14-18 was discussed within the framework of concepts/titles such as the importance and necessity of Qur'an education, the meaning of the word "recitation", which is the equivalent of reading the Qur'an, in the course of time, and whether moral education and Qur'an education has an effect on moral development. In the research, instead of talking about the technical ways of learning/ teaching the Qur'an education; the age of learning, the place of teaching, its nature, the instructive element, the role of parents, the concept of morality and whether the received Qur'an education contributes to the moral development level of the student were mentioned. It was concluded that issues such as the Qur'an's wording, recitation, chant, and being taught affect the individual emotionally and behaviorally, there is an expectation that the Qur'an will be taught to young people of any age by using modern teaching methods, the Qur'an education given considering its moral aspect reflects on morality and will result in moral attitude. In addition, it was determined that some mosque officials who teach the Qur'an are not sufficient in terms of pedagogy, and that parents sometimes push the self-esteem of children to the background and exhibit an attitude that may harm their personalities.
