Abstract:

This research aimed to explain the mediating role of subjective well-being in the relationship between organizational justice perceptions and intentions to leave of primary school teachers working in public primary schools. The survey model was used in the research. The research population consists of a total of 5319 primary school teachers working in 182 primary schools in the central districts of Gaziantep province in the 2020-2021 academic year. The research was conducted on 370 primary school teachers representing the population. As a data collection tool in the research, "Personal Information Form", "Organizational Justice Scale", "Intention to Quit Scale" and "Subjective Well-Being Scale" were used. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 22 and AMOSS 23 software. According to the research results, it was determined that the distributive justice and interactional justice sub-dimensions of the organizational justice scale did not significantly predict the intention to leave the job. It was determined that the distributive justice and interactional justice sub-dimensions of the organizational justice scale significantly and positively predicted the school engagement sub-dimension of the subjective well-being scale. It was determined that school engagement and teaching competence, the sub-dimensions of the subjective well-being scale, did not significantly predict the intention to leave the job. It was determined that subjective well-being was a partial mediating variable in the relationship between organizational justice and intention to leave the job.
