İlkokul Öğrencilerinin Matematik Öğrenme Sürecinde, Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojisi Araçlarını Kullanmanın Öğretmen Görüşleri Açısından Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul öğrencilerinin matematik öğrenme sürecinde, Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojisi (BİT) araçlarını kullanmanın öğretmen görüşleri açısından incelenmesidir. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımının benimsendiği bu çalışma, temel nitel araştırma deseni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında Diyarbakır veya Şanlıurfa illerinde görev yapan öğretmenler arasından kolay erişilebilir örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 30 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak açık uçlu 8 sorudan oluşan görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarından elde edilen veriler, betimsel analiz kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre çalışmaya katılan tüm öğretmenlerin BİT araçlarını kullandığı ve öğretmenlerin bu araçlardan sırası ile en çok EBA, Okulistik, Morpa Kampüs ve mobil uygulamaları kullandıkları belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenler BİT araçlarının kullanışlı olduğunu, zengin içerikler sunduğunu öğrencilerin matematik dersini öğrenmelerini olumlu etkilediğini ve bu derse ilişkin olumlu tutum oluşturmalarında etkili olduğunu ifade etmiştir. Öğretmenler BİT araçlarını çeşitli sınıf düzeylerinde verimli bulduklarını, bu araçları matematik dersinin çeşitli aşamalarında kullandıklarını belirtmiştir. Öğretmenlerden büyük bir kısmı öğrencilerini okul dışında, matematik dersi için BİT araçlarını kullanmaları yönünde teşvik ettiğini belirtirken, diğer kısmı çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı öğrencilerini teşvik etmediğini/edemediğini ifade etmiştir.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the teachers' views of using the tools of Information and Communication Technology (BIT) in the process of mathematical learning. This study, which adopts the Qualitative Research Approach, is carried out with the basic Qualitative Research Design. The research work group consists of 30 class teachers selected by easy-to-access sample method from teachers working in Diyarbakır or Shanlıurfa in the 2018-2019 educational year. In the study, a conversation form consisting of eight open end questions was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained from the data collection tools were analyzed using visual analysis. According to the results obtained in the study, it has been determined that all teachers participating in the study have used the BIT tools and that teachers use the most of these tools in order to EBA, Oculistic, Morpa Campus and mobile applications. Teachers have stated that the ITT tools are useful, they provide rich content; they have a positive impact on students learning math lessons and they are effective in creating a positive attitude to this lesson. Teachers pointed out that they found the BIT tools efficient at various class levels, and that they used these tools in the various stages of the mathematics course. Most teachers said they encouraged their students to use the ITT tools for math lessons outside of school, while the other said they did not encourage their students for a variety of reasons.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in the mathematics learning process of primary school students in terms of teachers' opinions. This study, in which qualitative research approach was used, was carried out with phenomenological design. The sample of the study consists of 30 teachers selected among the teachers working in Diyarbakır and Şanlıurfa in the 2018-2019 academic year, using easily accessible sampling method. In the research, an open-ended questionnaire consisting of 8 questions was used as data collection tool. The data obtained from the tools were analyzed using the content analysis method. According to the results, teachers participated in the study use ICT tools and were most likely to use EBA, Okulistik, Morpa Campus, mobile applications. Teachers state; ICT tools are useful, offers rich content, positively affects students’ learning math lesson and it is very effective in forming a positive attitude towards this lesson. Teachers stated that they find ICT tools very effective and use these tools at various stages. Most of the teachers stated that they encouraged their students to use ICT tools outside of school, the others stated that they couldn’t encourage their students for various reasons.
