Doğu Karadeniz bölgesinin özgün binaları olan serenderler, zemin katta yalnız ahşap dikmeler olan, üst katta binanın asıl işlevini karşılayan yarı açık sofa mekanı ile ambarın yer aldığı, ahşap malzeme ile yapılan, özgün birleştirme tekniği olarak geçme yönteminin kullanıldığı, geleneksel yaşamda evden sonra ikinci sırada öneme sahip, yiyecek depolama binalardır. Bu çalışmada ele alınan serender, Beşikdüzü’ne oldukça yakın, Bayırköy’de bulunmaktadır. Bu bina esas olarak altı adet dikmenin üzerinde yer alan bir sofa ve ambardan oluşur. Çatı örtüsü bitümlü sacdır. Ambar duvarları tahtadan, köşelerde birbirine geçme tekniğiyle yığma olarak, kirişlere ise kavela ile birleştirilerek yapılmıştır. Daha çok ambar kapısı, kiriş ve duvar hatılları yüzeylerinde belli bir düzeyde ahşap oyma bezemeler görülür. Az da olsa ahşap kesme tekniğinde süsleme çalışmaları vardır. Bina ağırlıklı olarak ahşap oyma yoluyla yapılan geometrik bezemeye sahiptir. Ayrıca çarkıfelek gibi sembolik örgeler de kullanılmıştır. Metal işçiliği kilit, anahtar, menteşe dışında görülmemektedir. Yok olma aşamasındaki bu binalardan yöre için özgün sayılabilecek biri, bu çalışmada yapısal özellikleri ve taşıdığı bezeme ürünleri tespit edilip değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

In this study, the serender, which is addressed, is very close to Beşikdüzü, in Bayırköy. This building consists mainly of a sofa and a cabin located on the sixth floor. The roof is closed. The Ambar walls are made by assembly from the threshold, with the technique of intersection in the corners, while the curves are combined with the kavela. Most of the bridges of the bridges, the bridges and the walls are seen on the surface of a certain level of wooden bridges. However, there is a small amount of wood cutting technique. The building has a geometric layer made mainly through wood cutting. Simbolic patterns are also used. The metal work is not seen outside the lock, key, but also the butter. One of these buildings in the extinction phase could be considered original for the site, in this study the structural characteristics and the fabric products it carries were tried to be identified and evaluated.
Serenders, which are the typical buildings of the Eastern Black Sea region, have only the thick wooden pillars on the ground floor and on the first floor, a semi-open sofa place (such as a balcony) and an ambar (storage area, barn) that fulfil its main function. Serenders have the second importance after the house in the traditional life. They are made entirely by the wood as using the notching method as a typical joining technic on the wall construction. The serender discussed in this study is located in Bayırköy where quite close to the center of Beşikdüzü district. This building mainly is consists of a sofa and the ambar which are put onto the six wooden pillars. The roof cover is bituminous sheet metal. The wooden masonry walls of the ambar are made by the technique of saddle notch corner joint with protrusion (called boğazgeçme or kurtboğazı) and joined to the beams with dowels. Mostly, at a certain level of chip carved ornaments are seen on the surfaces of the ambar door, beams and lintels. There are a little bit ornamental works in the wood cutting technique as well. The building has mainly the geometric ornamentation which made by the chip carving. In addition, the symbolic motifs such as the wheel fortune was used as well. The metalwork is not seen except for lock, key and hinges. In one of these buildings in the process of extinction which can be considered unique for the region, Their construction properties and ornamentation on it was tried to be identified and evaluated in this study.
