Abstract:

In multicultural societies, corporate health literature is among the increasing issues of importance. The level of health literature that the institutions have should be separated from the level of health literature of the individual. In the presentation of health services, corporate health literature, which includes regulations such as the physical structure of the institutions, signs and guidelines, the website, should be strategically adopted in such a way that the individual can easily access health services. The study was done with the aim of revealing the status of public hospitals in relation to corporate health literature. This study, which is a case study, was conducted in three hospitals that served within the Ministry of Health and were easily identified by sample method. The data of the study is collected in two stages. In the first phase, the "Corporate Health Reading Observation Form" developed by Harvard University and adapted to Turkish by Özer (2018) was asked to fill 3 observers from each hospital on the basis of observation. In the second phase, 73 managers in different units which are considered to have contributed to the development of corporate health literature in the same hospitals, Kowalski and others (2015) developed the "Health Reader Health Institutions-10 (HLHO-10)" survey was implemented. The data was analyzed by SPSS 22. In the study, the majority of the observers and managers consist of nurses. 9 observers completed their observations in an average of 76.6 minutes. While observers lack, especially in the size of the telephone system, they found more positive reports in the size of the website and the corridors. According to HLHO-10 responded with the participation of managers, the media diversity size has the lowest score, while the communication standards size has the highest score. In addition, according to the results of the ANOVA test, a significant difference between hospitals in literary skills, communication standards, cost knowledge and labour training dimensions was found. Recommendations on the weaknesses identified according to the research results have been developed.
