Abstract:

As the Internet and information communication technologies entered the human life, many changes have begun in both individual and corporate terms. This situation brings the need to explore the power of the internet in terms of institutions to express themselves. We are in the towns as one of these. The municipalities are determined by elections in our country. The target audiences should be aware of the work that the municipality does or will do when choosing a municipality administration. Generations of the digital age are widespread using the internet to obtain this information. This is why the websites are one of the most important representative areas of the municipalities. The study focuses on the issue of publicity and information in the digital age. The research section of the study aims to reveal the use of the website in the field of municipality in the digital age and the adequacy of the information provided. In this direction, Tekirdağ is addressed by Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality and its related 11 (one) district municipality websites have been examined by content analysis methods from quality research methods. In the study, under the main titles of corporate information, corporate services, corporate publications, the information consisting of 27 articles was examined on the websites. The results of the research show that the municipalities are not enough. It is clear that the fields in which the industry develops have a better use than the fields in which the agriculture is engaged.
