Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the motivation skills of teachers of private and public school managers. The scale for the study was used as a general and comparative type relative scanning model and was performed as an imaginary study. The examples of the study are formed by official and private teachers associated with the National Education Directorate of Bağcılar and Beylikdüzü Province; 14 primary schools in primary education institutions and 432 teachers working in 13 secondary schools. The data collection was done using the "Evaluation Scale of Teachers' Motivation" which Kocabaş and Karaköse used in their studies in 2005 "The Impact of School Managers' Attitudes and Behaviors on Teachers' Motivation (Private and State School Example)". T-test is used to determine the difference between two variables while the scale in which the motivation levels of teachers are determined is assessed, and anova analysis is used to determine the difference between more than two variables. If the difference is found meaningfully, the Tukey (Multi Comparison-Post) test is applied. Research findings show that private school teachers have a positive contribution to motivating school managers to their work, while public school teachers have fewer participation in this view. Private school teachers also consider teachers in public schools that their schools contribute to their reputation in the surrounding area, that they have opportunities to promote in their institutions, that they find the work environment sufficient in their schools, that they have more opportunities to develop their skills in their institutions. Teachers in private schools and public schools have stated that their work gives them the opportunity to show their performance and the opportunity to their goals.
