Abstract:

Assyrians who prides themselves of using the same language as Jesus, known as the generations of historical Mesopotamian’s ancient civilizations. Despite belonging to Christianity, Assyrians had to lived under dominance of Muslims for many centuries in result of some Christological debates by breaking away from the western Christianity. Nevertheless, the following generations of that ancient civilization had to leave their homeland and transformed into an immigrant groups in the West in result of the great wars and ideological and political movements of the modern ages. Western Assyrian immigrants had to struggle against economic difficulties at the beginning, and then developed a strong Assyrian Diaspora by uniting its cultural and ethnic identity with eastern Christians. Diasporas Assyrians have been contiune to live with the hope of return to the homeland eventually.
