İngiltere'nin Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nda Doğu Halklarına Yönelik Propaganda Gazeteleri

Abstract:

Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda İngiltere propaganda faaliyetlerine büyük önem verdi. İngiltere kendi ülkesinde, sömürgelerinde, müttefiki olan ülkelerde, tarafsız ülkelerde ve savaştığı ülkelerde propaganda faaliyetleri yürüttü. Propaganda faaliyetlerini koordine etmek için Wellington House adıyla bilinen bir propaganda ofisi kurdu. Propaganda ofisi kitaplar, kitapçıklar, fotoğraflar, afişler, resimler, kartpostallar, karikatürler yayınlayarak dünyanın birçok noktasına dağıttı. İngiltere’nin Birinci Dünya Savaşı’ndaki propaganda faaliyetlerinin önemli bir ayağını da bol resimli, kaliteli kâğıtlara basılmış resimli gazeteler oluşturmaktaydı. Bu gazetelerde resimler geniş yer tutuyordu. Resimlerin altında hitap edilen milletlerin dillerinde birkaç cümleden oluşan kısa açıklamalar yer alıyordu. İngiltere, propaganda gazetelerinde Dünya’ya Doğu ve Batı halkları nezdinde hitap edeceği bir yayın politikası belirledi. Buna göre daha ziyade Avrupa ve Amerika’da dağıtılacak propaganda gazeteleri olan Amerika Latina; aylık olarak İspanyolca basılıp İspanya ve Güney Amerika’da dağıtıldı. Espelho; Portekizce 15 günde bir basılıp Brezilya’ya gönderildi. Hesperia haftalık olarak Yunanca basıldı. Bunların yanı sıra Amerika, Asya, Afrika ve Avrupa kıtalarında dağıtılan ancak lisan olarak temelde Doğu halklarına hitap eden propaganda gazeteleri de yayınladılar. Bu gazeteler, Türkçe, Arapça, Rusça, Çince, Japonca, İngilizce, Malayca, Urduca, Farsça, Bangalce, Hind, Gucarat ve Tamil dillerinde yayınlandı. Gazetelerde aynı anda birden çok dil kullanıldı. Bu gazeteler temelde el-Hakikat isimli propaganda gazetesinden türetilen ve onunla aynı ebatlarda ve aynı sistemle üretilmiş olan gazetelerdi. Bunlar ise Jangi Akhbar, Satya Vani, Senji Gaho, Warta Yang Tulus, Cheng Pao ve Vayna Vı Kartinah adlı gazetelerdi. Bu makalede el-Hakikat gazetesi de dahil olmak üzere bu yedi propaganda gazetesi ele alınıp incelenecektir.

During the First World War, Britain paid great attention to the propaganda activities. Britain has conducted propaganda activities in its own country, colonies, allied countries, neutral countries and countries where it fought. He established a propaganda office known as Wellington House to coordinate their propaganda activities. The propaganda office has distributed books, libraries, photos, posters, pictures, postcards, cartoons to many points of the world by publishing them. An important footprint of the propaganda activities of Britain in the First World War was also the photographic newspapers printed on high-quality papers. The pictures in the newspapers were wide. The pictures contained short explanations of the languages of the peoples addressed. Britain has set a publication policy in propaganda newspapers to address the world to the people of the east and the west. According to this, the propaganda newspapers to be distributed in Europe and America, the Latin America, was printed in Spanish and distributed in Spain and South America each month. Espelho was printed in Portuguese every 15 days and sent to Brazil. Hesperia was printed in Greek weekly. They also published propaganda newspapers distributed across the continents of America, Asia, Africa and Europe but mainly addressing the Eastern peoples. These newspapers were published in Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, English, Malaysian, Urdu, Persian, Bangalore, Indian, Gucarat and Tamil languages. There are several languages in the newspapers at the same time. These newspapers were basically derived from the propaganda newspaper called al-Hakikat and produced in the same size and with the same system. These were Jangi Akhbar, Satya Vani, Senji Gaho, Warta Yang Tulus, Cheng Pao and Vayna Vı Kartinah. In this article, the seven propaganda newspapers, including the El-Hakikat newspaper, will be discussed and studied.
