Düşük miktarlı kredi hizmeti sunan mikrokredi uygulamaları yoksul bireylerin gelir ve kaynaklarındaki yetersizlikten dolayı içinde bulundukları eşitsizliklere çözüm olmayı hedeflemektedir. Mikrokredi uygulamalarının bu hedefindeki başarısını değerlendirebilmek için bu çalışmada 2002-2013 döneminde 16 ülkeye ait mikrokredi göstergeleri ile gelir eşitsizlikleri arasındaki ilişki panel veri analizi ile araştırılmıştır. Analizde mikrokredi göstergesi olarak toplam reel mikrokredi miktarları ve borçlu başına düşen ortalama reel mikrokredi miktarları; gelir eşitsizliği göstergesi olarak GINI katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Gelir eşitsizliğini etkilemesi beklenen değişkenlerin seçiminde ilgili teori ve literatür dikkate alınarak mikrokredi değişkenlerinin yanı sıra kişi başına düşen gelir, ihracat, istihdam, enflasyon ve kamu sağlık harcamaları kontrol değişken olarak modele eklenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre reel mikrokredi miktarının GINI katsayısı üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu fakat kontrol değişkenler modele eklendiğinde net etkisinin ortadan kalktığı görülmüştür. Borçlu başına düşen ortalama reel mikrokredi miktarları ile GINI katsayısı arasında tüm modellerde düşük de olsa anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Buna göre borçlu başına düşen ortalama mikrokredi miktarındaki %1’lik artışın gelir eşitsizliğinde ortalama %0.02’lik bir azalış meydana getirdiği yani GINI katsayısının mikrokredi esnekliğinin 0.02 olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, multiple linear regression analysis was applied to a data set with low sample width. The reliability of acquired estimation results was tested using the Jackknife Technique.
