Başlangıçta birçok Arap ülkesinde başlayan ve 2011 yılının Nisan ayında Suriye’de devam eden iç çatışmaların sebep olduğu kitlesel göçlerden en çok etkilenen ülke Türkiye olmuştur. Türkiye’ye gelen sığınmacılar, sadece göç etmekle kalmamış, aynı zamanda maddi ve manevi değerlerini de beraberlerinde taşımaları nedeniyle birçok sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel uyum sorunu ile karşı karşıya kalmışlardır. İşte bu çalışma, Kilis ve Batman kentlerine göç eden sığınmacıların sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel uyum düzeylerini karşılaştırmayı amaçlamıştır. Bu çerçevede çalışma için nicel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak Kilis ve Batman ilinde bulunan sığınmacılar içinden 293 katılımcı ile yüz yüze anket yapılmıştır. Ankete katılan farklı kentlerdeki Suriyeli sığınmacıların Suriye’nin farklı kentlerinden geldikleri, farklı yapılara sahip oldukları ve bu nedenle sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel uyum süreçlerinin de birbirine benzemediği ortaya çıkmıştır.
Initially, Turkey was the country most affected by the mass migration that began in many Arab countries and was caused by the continued internal conflicts in Syria in April 2011. Refugees arriving in Turkey have faced many problems of socio-economic and cultural harmony because they are not only migrating, but also carrying their material and spiritual values with them. This study aimed at comparing the socio-economic and cultural levels of refugees who migrated to the cities of Kilis and Batman. In this framework, a quantial research method for the study was used to face-to-face survey with 293 participants from the refugees located in Kilis and Batman provinces. The survey revealed that Syrian refugees from different cities in Syria have different structures and therefore the socio-economic and cultural processes of harmony are not similar to each other.

Asylum seekers arriving in Turkey have faced many socio-economic and cultural adaptation problems as result of their migration and carrying their material and spiritual values with them. This study aims to compare the socio-economic and cultural adaptation levels of asylum seekers immigrating into Kilis and Batman. In this context, a face-to-face survey was conducted with 293 participants among asylum seekers in Kilis and Batman using the quantitative research method for the study. It was revealed that the Syrian asylum seekers participating in the survey come from different cities of Syria, have different structures, and therefore, socio-economic and cultural adaptation processes are not similar to each other.
