The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of the textile industry in this region on employment by conducting an survey and interview with workers in the workplaces located in the Atışalanı position and based on the textile industry. The area coverage of the research is the Union and airport neighborhoods located in the shooting area. The number of workplaces related to the textile industry and the number of employees in these two neighborhoods has increased significantly in recent years. The number of workplaces in the area, especially related to the textile sector, such as cutting rooms, workshops, cutting-packs, is large and almost every building has such workplaces. In the framework of the research, various conversations with customers and employers were conducted in 28 workplaces in the region, and an survey was conducted with a total of 737 people working in these workplaces. The survey was completed in 28 days and the survey lasted about five minutes for each participant. The research has found that although the number of people working in these workplaces is excessive, the majority of these employees are foreign workers. This study was prepared to find answers to questions such as why foreign workers are preferred more in such workplaces in the region, the wage difference between the domestic and foreign workers, the perspective of the domestic and foreign workers against each other, which country foreign workers are citizens, the wages that domestic and foreign workers receive, the insurance status of workers.

In these two neighborhoods, the number of workplaces and employees connected to the textile sector has increased significantly in recent years. In the region, the number of workplaces such as slaughterhouses, workshops, ironing-packages, which are especially connected to the textile sector, is high and there are such workplaces under almost every building. Within the scope of the research, various interviews were conducted with customers and employers in 28 workplaces in this region, and a survey was conducted with a total of 737 people working in these workplaces. The survey study was completed in 28 days and the survey time took approximately five minutes for each participant. As a result of the research, it has been understood that although the number of people working in these workplaces is high, a large part of these employees are foreign workers. This study has been prepared in order to find answers to questions such as: why foreign workers are preferred more in such workplaces in the region, the difference in wages between domestic workers and foreign workers, the perspective of domestic and foreign workers against each other, the nationality of foreign workers, the wages of domestic and foreign workers, the insurance status of workers.
