Abstract:

This study aims to determine the trend of research on value and value education presented at the International Social Information Education Symposium (USBES) (2012-2017) which primarily involves social information education. The number of authors of the studies carried out in relation to value education, the year, the subject, the method, the sample level, the number of sample, the form of sample selection, the data collection tools, the data analysis methods and the results have been studied and evaluated. The research was conducted on the basis of the document examination in the quality research approach. The research was recognized as basic data sources and studied in the framework of visual analysis in the value education studies presented at the International Social Information Education Symposium between 2012-2017 years. The research results have found that the most frequent social information courses have studies attempting to identify the perceptions and attitudes of students about the values included in the curriculum, the most research was conducted in 2017 and was conducted by two authors. The study also concluded that the most qualitative research methods were used by the document review technique and quantitative research methods and the scan pattern were used as the data collection tool, the most interviews and documents were used, the study work group was formed by the most bachelor students and the number of participants was not specified in approximately half of the studies, the most frequently included between 11-30 participants, the most frequently used by the content analysis in the analysis of the data and the same rate the data analysis method was not specified in the studies. Approximately 40% of the studies indicated results, while 60% did not indicate results.
