Abstract:

This study aims to determine the mathematical informal awareness of high school students in terms of gender, class level, mother and father educational conditions. In the study, an unselective sample method was used. The sample group, which is included in the study, consists of 807 students, including 399 girls and 408 men, who go to seven different secondary schools in the center of the province of Sivas during the 2019-2020 educational and educational year. The data related to the study was obtained using the "Mathematical Excellence Awareness Scale for High School Students". The total reliability of the measurement is .905; in this study it is identified as .916. In the analysis of the obtained data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S), Arithmetic Medium, Standard Sapma, Independent T Test, ANOVA and Tukey analytics techniques were used. The average score of participants in relation to mathematical informal awareness has been determined to show significant differences p<.05 in terms of gender, class level, mother and father educational conditions.

Bu araştırmada; ortaokul öğrencilerinin matematiksel bilişüstü farkındalıklarının cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, anne ve baba eğitim durumları açısından belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya dâhil olan örneklem grubunu, 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz döneminde Sivas il merkezindeki yedi farklı ortaokula devam eden 399 kız, 408 erkek olmak üzere 807 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya ilişkin veriler, “Ortaokul Öğrencilerine Yönelik Matematiksel Üstbiliş Farkındalık Ölçeği” kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin toplam güvenirliği .905; bu çalışmada ise .916 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S), Aritmetik Ortalama, Standart Sapma, Bağımsız t testi, ANOVA ve Tukey analiz teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların matematiksel bilişüstü farkındalıklarına ilişin puan ortalamalarının cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, anne ve baba eğitim durumları açısından anlamlı düzeyde farklılık p<.05 gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
