The corruption, which we can define as the exploitation of the human body, has accepted and continued its existence throughout history as a sector that has served the different sections of society in different civilizations and geographies. Although the concept is expressed through women, this concept is a broad concept that covers different gender and age intervals and even animals. But the word prostitute derived from the word prostitute has been identified with the woman, and in men from history to today, the first thing that came to mind has always been the woman. In societies, women who offer themselves in a constant manner to men’s sexual desires in exchange for a certain salary were called prostitutes. These women, seen as the victims of moral disorder, collapse and spreading foolishness in society, are perceived and excluded as a threat element. Despite all the pressure and exclusions, the prostitutes have tried to execute their lives within the society on this path. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, by examining some cases and cases concerning the prostitutes in the Ottoman central government, we tried to address the positions, victims and efforts of these women in society, despite all, in the state and society axis, and, unlike previous studies in this field, in this study we aimed to study the problem in a different perspective by standing on the perception of prostitutes and prostitutes in the Ottoman society.
