Abstract:

Many businesses, including health institutions, aim to increase the quality of their services, prevent errors that may occur in the process, and use their financial opportunities efficiently in order to adapt to the changing world and demands. In line with this goal, the implementation of perspectives such as Kaizen, Total Quality Management and Six Sigma, which include specific applications, has accelerated and the need for these practices has been revealed. The aim of this review is to examine the examples of the continuous improvement approach in Turkey and to draw a general framework for service quality in the field of health in line with the existing literature. The results showed that the continuous improvement approach was successfully implemented in health institutions in Turkey and positive results were obtained in terms of increasing the service quality. In this review, factors related to the quality of health services are also presented and discussed.
