Abstract:

The Democratic Party is a political party established by gathering a wide heterodox mass within it. The structure of the party, which looked like a coalition, was carrying quite wide possibilities in terms of the party’s opposition. During the Democratic Party’s opposition years (1946-1950) the opposition elements within the party, the political history of the Democratic Party founders, the claims of mutilation and the 12th July Declaration, directed severe criticisms to the party’s central administration. The study defends this thesis; the main factor that influences the founders in the party-in-power war is that the founders have developed rational policies against the political reality of the party-in-power opposition.
