Tarikat Dönemi Sonrası Tasavvufî Hareketler: Dandarâvî Topluluğu Örneği
2019

Abstract:

2019

Abstract:

In Tasavvuf theory, it is hopefully called the 12th century and subsequent "period of taricates". According to the classical tasnife, the first period is Zühd, the second period is tasavvuf, and the third period is tarikat. It is the time of the tribe, which continues until today, and the line between them. But what does this classical periodization mean for today? 21 of 21. It suggests that the century man continues to live in a way of life far from the traditional taricate life in the taricate period, that it is the beginning of a period that we can call the post-taricate period (community period) unable to establish an organic connection with the classical taricate period. It is at this point that there is a community that is winning prevalence in some of the northern African and Arab countries. This community defines itself as “el-Usretü’d-Dandarâviya” (Dandarâvi family) and exactly 21. They have been organized according to the needs of the century man, but they do not entirely accept that they are described as a taricate. This work is 21. In the context of the century tasavvuf movements, it includes the introduction to the Turkish tasavvuf academy of a organized structure with a tasavvufic benefit that is widely spread in Arab geography.

Abstract:

Sufism history names especially 12th century and afterwards as “Tariqa(sufi path) era”. According to the classical classification first phase is asceticism, second one is Sufism, and the third one is Tariqa phase. It’s been referred between the lines that the Tariqa period continued even today. However, what does classical evaluation mean today is still a question. 21st century’s human profile and lifestyle is far different from Tariqa’s traditional way of living, also lack of organic links between modern day and the classical Tariqa period  brings to the mind beginning of a new era can be named as post-Tariqa period(community period). Right in that point, a community appears, being accepted by some parts of Arabic and African countries. This community identify themselves as Dandarawiya Family, organized to satisfy the 21st century’s human demands but certainly rejects to be described as a Tariqa. This study comprises an introduction to Turkish Sufism academia of an organization that has Sufism characteristics and institutional formation settled commonly in Arab countries, regarding 21st centuries’ Sufism movements.
