Türk dili tarihinde önemli bir yere sahip olan Eski Anadolu Türkçesi döneminde telif ve tercüme pek çok eser kaleme alınmıştır. Bu dönemde kaleme alınan eserlerin konusu genellikle dini içeriklidir. Kuran tercümeleri, hadis tercümeleri, siyer tercümeleri, fıkıh metinleri, kısasü’l-enbiyalar, tezkiretü’l-evliyalar bu dönemde kaleme alınan başlıca dini muhtevalı türlerdir. Dini muhtevalı türler kapsamında değerlendirilecek bir tür de ahval-i kıyamettir. Anadolu sahasında genellikle mensur kısmen de manzum olmak üzere bu türde yazılmış pek çok eser mevcuttur. Bu türde kaleme alınan eserlerde kıyamet alametleri konu edilmiştir. Özellikle kıyametin dehşetli sahneleri, kıyamet ehlinin karşılaşacakları durumlar, asi ve günahkârların akıbetleri, hesap günü, ahiret hayatı gibi hususlar ele alınmıştır. Üzerinde çalıştığımız eser de ahval-i kıyamet türüne ait bir metindir. Fatih Millet Kütüphanesi 34 Ae Şeriyye 24/2’de bulunan ve Aģvāli’l-ķıyāmet başlığını taşıyan eser çeşitli açılardan ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın giriş kısmında ahval-i kıyamet türü hakkında kısaca bilgi verilmiş, ardından ise eserin nüsha tavsifi yapılmıştır. Mensur olarak kaleme alınmış olan eserin ilk olarak transkripsiyonu yapılmıştır. Ardından eserin dizinli sözlüğü hazırlanmıştır. Daha sonra metinden alınan örneklerle eserin gramer özellikleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Oldukça sade bir dille yazılmış olan eser genel olarak Eski Anadolu Türkçesi özellikleri barındırmaktadır. Geç dönemde istinsah edildiği izlenimi veren eserde yer yer Osmanlı Türkçesine geçiş özellikleri de bulunmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonuna okuyucunun kontrolü için eserin tıpkıbasımı da eklenmiştir.
