The number of academic research on military music history, institutions and composers is quite insufficient. There was no source published so far about the biography and compositions of the soldier composer Fethi Sazçalan performed and rested in the ceremonies and concerts of the works for Mehter, band and tube-trampet teams. Sazçalan, who came to his hometown as a Thessalonian immigrant and was trained in the after-Republican Military Mızıka Gedikli Mektebi, resigned from the army while he was in the position of the Chief Officer of the Armed Forces, which he began as a former military function. He then served as a civil officer in the army units and composed two books and fourteen ceremonial marks for the tube-trampet, nine marks for the bando and one marks for the pursuit and four marks for the mehter teams. The style that combines the band, band and tube spots in the fanfar style, the rich melodic motifs, the different harmony techniques and the ensturmantation style, the unique ability to use the marshal form in a very free and rich style, and the unusual composition techniques, is a soldier composer that comes to the forefront. Despite the training he received with difficult and limited possibilities, the number of compositions he made in different fields and the composition techniques showed that he had a very different aspect and ability than other composers. With his compositions, he contributed greatly to both traditional Turkish art music and mehter music as well as modern Turkish music. In this academic study by scanning literature, archive resources and the method of personal conversations, the first time Fethi Sazçalan’s biography and all works, which have not yet been included in any source, were discussed by the study. Keywords: Fethi Sazçalan, Boru-Trampet, Marş, Bando, Mehter.
