FİNANSAL OKURYAZARLIK SEVİYESİ İLE MOBİL BANKACILIK KULLANIMI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN TESPİTİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye’deki bireylerin finansal okuryazarlık seviyesini ve bireylerin finansal okuryazarlık seviyesi ile mobil bankacılık hizmetinin kullanımı arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, Türkiye genelinde tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 589 katılımcıya internet üzerinden anket yapılmıştır. Anket verileri SPSS 22.0 programında bağımsız iki grup T-Testi, tek yönlü ANOVA ve Pearson korelasyon yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonunda finansal okuryazarlık skorunun erkekler ve kadınlarda benzer olduğu ancak medeni durum, yaş, gelir ve eğitim durumuna göre farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Bunun yanı sıra, katılımcıların algılanan bilgi düzeyi, sahip oldukları finansal okuryazarlık skorları ile örtüşmektedir. Çalışmada bankacılık işlemlerini mobil bankacılık üzerinden gerçekleştiren katılımcıların daha yüksek finansal okuryazarlık skoruna sahip olduğu ve kullanım tecrübesi ve sıklığı arttıkça finansal okuryazarlık skorunun da arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak, analiz sonuçları göstermektedir ki, mobil bankacılık kullanım sıklığı ve mobil bankacılık hizmetlerinin faydaları ile finansal okuryazarlık skoru arasında pozitif ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki vardır.

Relationship between the use of mobile banking and the level of financial readiness: example of Turkey

Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to study the level of financial literacy of individuals in Turkey and the relationship between the level of financial literacy of individuals and the use of mobile banking services. In accordance with this goal, 589 participants selected by random sampling method across Turkey were surveyed via the internet. The survey data was analyzed in the SPSS 22.0 program using the two independent group T-Test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation method. The study found that the financial literacy score was similar in men and women but varied according to the state of civilisation, age, income and education. In addition, the level of knowledge perceived by the participants is matched with the financial literary scores they have. The study found that participants performing banking transactions through mobile banking had a higher financial literacy score and the financial literacy score increased as the use experience and frequency increased. Finally, the analysis results show that there is a positive and statistically meaningful relationship between the frequency of use of mobile banking and the benefits of mobile banking services and the score of financial literature.
