Abstract:

Güney surlarda yapılan kazılarda 12 no’lu burç içerisinde işlik, 13 nolu burç içerisinde fırın bulunmuştur.

In the examined candles, the samples of K1-K9 were produced in close shapes and shapes. The K10 is separated from the K1-K9 samples with a circular body and a slightly exhausted nose structure. The fact that the whole of them has a similar bread structure and the content of the bread is similar suggests that they are the same workshop product. In the southern walls of the cave, the 12th burdock was found, the 13th burdock was found in the oven. Both of them are M.S. It marks the 11th and 13th centuries. Per later times. But these two archaeological findings prove that there was a ceramic production in the city. The works have not been studied under any type of name. Abstract:

Dara is located within the borders of the Dara Village of Artuklu District in Mardin Province. It is a garrison city established in a buffer zone between Byzantine and Sasani. Agora excavations in Dara have been the area where the most important finds of the city were unearthed. Terracotta lamps are very important among the excavation findings. During the 2020 excavations, 10 inventory and study lamps were found in the Agora. The form and decorations of mold made lamps were popular in the 6th century AD. Among the lamps examined, K1-K9 were produced in close form and decorated with ornaments. K10 differs from the K1-K9 examples with its circular body and slightly protruding nose structure. The fact that they all have a similar fabric structure and show similarity makes us think that they are the same workshop products. The Lamps were not examined under any type name. Because there must be a comprehensive group of finds in order to examine it in this way. Therefore, the study is a preliminary preparation for the terracotta lamp typology of Dara. During the excavations carried out in the southern fortification walls, was found a workshop in the tower number 12 and an oven in the tower number 13. The workshop and oven were built after the city walls lost their function. These point to the 11th - 13th centuries AD. However, this archaeological finds prove that there is a ceramic production in the city.
