Avusturya, okullarda öğrencilerin seçmeli ders olarak Alevilik eğitimi dersleri alabileceği ve Aleviliğin yasal olarak resmen tanındığı ve bir inanç olarak kabul edildiği ülkelerden bir tanesidir. Alevi topluluğunun kazanımlar elde etmesi ve okullarda Alevilik eğitimi alabilmesi, kimliğinde Alevi yazan kişiler için Alevi bayram günlerinin resmî tatil kabul edilmesi, Alevi bireylerin cenaze işlemlerinin Alevilik geleneğine göre yürütülmesi, Alevi topluluğunun Avusturya Devleti tarafından resmi olarak tanınması vs. gibi kazanımlar Avusturya’yı diğer ülkeler arasında Alevilik açısından daha ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Müslüman topluluğun Avrupa’da en erken hak kazanımları elde ettiği ülkelerden birisi olan Avusturya, Aleviliğin de inanç olarak tanınma sürecinde ilklere imza atarak Alevileri dini topluluk olarak kabul etmiştir. Ayrıca Aleviliği de dini inanç olarak tanımış ve bu konuda yasal düzenlemelerle Alevilerin haklarını güvence altına almıştır. Bu haklardan bir tanesi ve en önemlisi hiç şüphesiz okullardaki Alevi din eğitimi dersleridir. Alevilik din eğitimi dersleri özellikle Türkiye açısından son derece önem arz etmektedir. Bu durum Alevilerin ülkemizde zorunlu din derslerinin seçmeli olarak verilmesi veya Aleviliğin de seçmeli ders olarak okutulması talebini gündeme getirmektedir. Alevilik din eğitimi derslerinin Avusturya’da okullarda verilmesi ve bu dersleri verebilecek öğretmenlerin yetiştirilmesi, Avusturya yasaları ve Alevi toplumunun ilgili kurumlarla yaptığı protokoller/anlaşmalar doğrultusunda yürütülmektedir. Her ne kadar okullardaki Alevilik din eğitimi derslerinin seçimi ve kriterleri, dersi okutacak olan öğretmenlerin nitelikleri, dersin öğretim materyali/materyalleri gibi hususlar belirlenmiş ve yönergelerle kesinleştirilmiş olsa da ülke içerisinde Aleviliğin tanınma sürecinin çok yakın geçmişte gerçekleşmesinden dolayı Alevilik din eğitimi dersleri tam olarak rayına oturmamıştır.
Austria is one of the countries where students in schools can take Alevian education courses as a choice and where Alevian is legally officially recognized and recognized as a belief. The achievement of the Alevian community and the ability to get Alevian education in schools, the acceptance of the official holidays of the Alevian holidays for those who write Alevian in their identity, the execution of the funeral processes of the Alevian individuals according to the Alevian tradition, the recognition of the Alevian community officially by the Austrian State, etc. achievements put Austria in the forefront of the Alevian perspective among other countries. Austria, one of the countries where the Muslim community achieved the earliest rights in Europe, signed the principles in the process of recognition of Alevilis as a faith and accepted the Alevilis as a religious community. He also recognised Alevilis as a religious belief and guaranteed the rights of the Alevians with legal arrangements in this regard. One of these rights and most importantly, without a doubt, are the Alevi religious education courses in schools. The teaching classes of Alevilik are of great importance especially from the point of view of Turkey. This situation implies that the Alevians in our country should be selectively taught obligatory religious lessons or that the Alevians should be taught as selectively. The teaching of Alevian religious courses in schools in Austria and the training of teachers who can give these courses are carried out in accordance with Austrian law and the Protocols / Agreements made with the relevant institutions of the Alevian society. Although the choice and criteria of the Alevian religious education courses in schools, the qualities of the teachers to study, the teaching material/materials of the course have been determined and confirmed by the guidelines, the Alevian religious education courses have not been fully in line due to the process of recognition of Alevian in the country due to the very recent past.
