Hint düşüncesinin İslam düşüncesi üzerine etkisi olduğu genel bir kabuldür. Çoğu İslam felsefe tarihi kaynaklarında da bu etkiden söz edildiği görülmektedir. Özellikle İslam düşüncesinde Tasavvufta görülen züht hayatı gibi pratiklerde etkili olduğu söylenmektedir. İslam düşüncesinin klasik dönemi olarak nitelendirilen ilk dönemindeki bu etki tıp, astronomi ve matematik üzerinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Felsefi anlamda bir etkinin yoğun olmadığı ileri sürülmektedir. Bunun nedeni de İslam dünyası, her ne kadar Hindistan bölgesine ulaşmış olsa da İslam dünyasının merkezi düşünüldüğünde coğrafi anlamdaki uzaklıktan dolayı bu etkinin daha az olduğu ifade edilmektedir. Ayrıca İslam filozofları ilk olarak yoğun bir şekilde Yunan düşüncesiyle karşılaştıklarında bilimsel faaliyetlerin daha çok arttığı savunulmaktadır. Elbette ilk dönem yapılan tercüme faaliyetlerine bakıldığında Hint düşüncesinden yapılan tercümelerin olduğu da görülmektedir. Bu tercümelerde tıp, astronomi ve matematik üzerinden gelişmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı ise bu genel kabulün temel dayanaklarını incelemek ve bu genel kabulün mümkünlüğünü sorgulamak üzerinedir.
It is a general acceptance that the Indian thought affects the Islamic thought. The majority of the Islamic philosophy history sources are also referring to this effect. Especially in the Islamic thought it is said to be effective in practices such as the life of the Züht seen in Tasavufta. This effect in the first period of the classical era of Islamic thought focused on medicine, astronomy and mathematics. The philosophical effect is not intense. This is due to the fact that the Islamic world, although it has reached the region of India, is said that this effect is less due to its geographical distance when considered to be the center of the Islamic world. It is also argued that when Islamic philosophers first met intensely with the Greek thought, scientific activities were increasing. Of course, when you look at the translation activities of the first period, it is also seen that there are translations made from the Indian thought. These translations evolve through medicine, astronomy and mathematics. The objective of the study is to examine the fundamental foundations of this general acceptance and to question the possibility of this general acceptance.

Especially in Islamic thought, it is said to be effective in practices such as ascetic life in Sufism. This effect, which was defined as the classical period of Islamic thought, focused on medicine, astronomy, and mathematics. It is argued that a philosophical effect is not intense. The reason for this is that although the Islamic world has reached the Indian region, it is stated that this effect is less due to the geographical distance when the center of the Islamic world is considered. In addition, it is argued that scientific philosophers first increased their scientific activities when they met with intense Greek thought. Of course, it is seen that there are translations made from Indian thought in the first-period translation activities. In these translations, medicine develops through astronomy and mathematics. The purpose of the study is to examine the basic foundations of this general acceptance and to question the possibility of this general acceptance.
