Fransız sineması; dünya sineması içinde sinemanın doğduğu günden bugüne kadar önemli bir yere sahiptir. Fransız sinemasının dünya sinemasında önemli yere sahip olmasına ve bir ekol olarak ortaya çıkmasına etki eden en önemli sebep, 1950’li yılların sonlarına doğru Yeni Dalga sinema akımının ortaya çıkışıdır. Akım, sanat ile sanatçı arasındaki ilişkiye farklı bir boyut getirmiştir. Eskiye elveda derken yeninin manifestosunu yazan bir dalganın kuşağı sinema tarihine adını yazdırmıştır. Sadece Fransız sinemasında değil tüm dünya sinemasında bir fenomene dönüşen Yeni Dalga; sinemaya teorik, estetik ve teknik anlamda pek çok yenilik kazandırmıştır. Godard, Truffaut, Rohmer, Resnais gibi pek çok yetenek ile parlak bir dönem yaşayan Fransız sineması birçok ülkede sinema sektörünü etkileyen akıma dönmüştür. Bu süreçte Fransız sinemasının politik yüzünün de ortaya çıktığı görülür. Politik yüzünün de olduğu görülen bu oluşumun içinde farklı, isyankar, yaratıcı, devrimci tarzı ve tavrı ile ortaya çıkan bir isim Jean Luc Godard akımın önemli bir ismi olmuştur. Yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı, Godard’ın Yeni Dalga Sinema Akımı ile başlayan yenilikçi yüzünü Godard’ın ideolojik yapısı üzerinden izleyicisine sunabilmektir. Çalışmada Godard’ın sinema kariyeri ve ideolojisinin çözümlemesi, Godard’ın iki önemli filmi, Serseri Aşıklar ve Küçük Asker filmleri örnekleminde niteliksel araştırmanın farklı kolları olan tarihsel, toplum bilimsel ve arketipçi araştırma yöntemleri ile yapılmıştır.
The French cinema has had an important place in the world cinema since the day the cinema was born to this day. The main reason that influenced the French cinema to have an important place in the world cinema and to appear as an ecole is the appearance of the New Wave film stream in the late 1950s. The flow has brought a different dimension to the relationship between art and artist. When saying goodbye to the old, a generation of waves that wrote the new manifesto wrote its name in the history of the cinema. The New Wave, which has become a phenomenon not only in the French cinema, but in the world’s entire cinema, has brought the cinema a lot of theoretical, aesthetic and technical innovations. The French cinema, which has lived a bright period with many talents like Godard, Truffaut, Rohmer, Resnais, has become a stream that has influenced the film industry in many countries. In this process, the political face of the French cinema appears. A name that appears in this formation, which appears to have a political face, with a different, rebellious, creative, revolutionary style and attitude, has become an important name of the Jean-Luc Godard stream. The aim of this work is to present Godard’s innovative face, starting with the New Wave Cinema Stream, to the audience through Godard’s ideological structure. In the study, Godard’s film career and ideology were analyzed, Godard’s two major films, The Crazy Lovers and the Small Soldier films, with historical, community scientific and archaeological research methods, which are different arms of qualitative research.
French cinema has an important place in the world cinema until today, since the birth of cinema. The most important reason that French cinema has important place in the world cinema and being a school in itself is the emergence of the New Wave cinema movement towards the end of 1950's. The movement has brought a different dimension of the relationship between art and artist. As it said goodbye to the old customs, it wrote the name of the history of a moviegoer who wrote a new manifest. Not only in the French cinema but in the world, the New Wave transformed into a phenomenon; has brought many innovations to cinema in theoretical, aesthetic and technical sense. French cinema, which has a brilliant era with many talents such as Godard, Truffaut, Rohmer and Resnais, has become a flourishing influx to the cinema industry in many countries. It appears that the political face of French cinema has also emerged in this process. In this formation, which seems to have a political face, Jean Luc Godard has become an important name of the current name with a different, rebellious, creative, revolutionary style and attitude. The aim of this work is to present the innovative face of Godard, which started with the New Wave Cinema Movement, to the audience through Godard's ideological structure. In the study, the analysis of Godard's cinematic career and ideology was carried out through descriptive analysis research methods, which are the different branches of qualitative research in the sample of Godard's two major films, Breathless and The Little Soldier.
