Recent research focuses more on how learning occurs than on how it occurs, and concepts such as learning, teaching, knowledge creation, abstraction, abstraction process come to us as an important research topic (Sezgin Memnun & Altun, 2012). The RBC+C (Recognizing-Building with-Constructing-Consolidation), which was introduced by Hershkowitz, Schwarz and Dreyfus in 2001, is defined as an activity of creating a new mathematical structure by the vertically arrangement of previously created mathematical knowledge. In the Primary Mathematics Course Curriculum (2013) it has been seen that concepts such as ratio, linear relationship, correct ratio and reverse ratio are included at each class level in the shrimp structure. The proportion, which is also the prerequisite for the ability to perform the proportional mind, helps to link mathematics with other disciplines (Flores, 1995). Therefore, in this study, the processes of creating the correct proportion and reverse proportion knowledge of the 6th grade students were studied according to the RBC+C abstraction model. The process of creating information presented in the study is studied by the teaching experimental method based on the interpretative approach included in the quality research methods. The research was carried out with two sixth-class students, one girl and the other male, who were studying in a state school. Half-configured conversations with the participants took about 50-55 minutes. The data obtained was visually analyzed and summarized in the framework of the recognition, use, creation and consolidation cognitive actions of the RBC+C model. The findings found that the students created and used the information of the proportion and that they included this information in the relevant problem solutions and that the information created was consolidated.
