Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to evaluate the opinions of classmates on the book reading project that is being implemented throughout the country. The research work group consists of 50 class teachers working in the primary school in the center of the province of Bartin. In the research methods of quality research have been used imagistic models. As a data collection tool, the researcher prepared a semi-configured conversation form consisting of 4 items. Specialist opinion was taken in the preparation of the semi-configured interview form. The data is evaluated according to the content analysis method. In the analysis of data, the percentage of statistical processes was used. The study found that 60% of classmates did not find it appropriate to do the book reading activity in the first class hour, 86% did not find it necessary to take the number of pages they read from students after the book reading activity, 88% did not find it necessary to take the number of pages they read from students after the book reading activity, and 88% did not think that the time of the class is 60 minutes, as a result of the combination of the book reading activity with the class hour, negatively affects the performance of the class. Moreover, 70% of classmates claim that the activity of reading gives the student a read habit.
