Abstract:

It is clear that the advanced technological tools and tools are located in almost every field of our daily life, and that society in this age has made the use of technology a necessity. Computers are now increasingly gaining importance by continuing to be indispensable in homes, workplaces, and even pockets. The music that occupies an important place in our life has also been influenced by this process of development. When the studies are conducted, it is clear that in the context of education technology, music education also needs the possibilities of technology use. It is primarily known that MIDI technology and application areas, audio recording, editing and playing programs, hearing training programs, playing training programs and nota writing programs are also the top of the technological possibilities that music teachers can evaluate. When all the possibilities are assessed, it is also discussed that nota writing programs come at the beginning of the music teachers’ needs ranking. This research aims to identify the knowledge, needs, attitudes, and the extent to which music teacher candidates benefit from the notes writing programs. The survey, prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool in the research, was applied to students of the Necmettin Erbakan University Ahmet Keleşoğlu Education Faculty of Music Education Anabilim Department. The findings accompanied the findings that many students were able to use the notes writing programs and the use of these programs in the future teaching profession would benefit them.
