Klasik Türk Edebiyatı’nın önemli türlerinden birisi olan tarih düşürme, önem verilen veya dikkat çeken bir olayın tarihini belirlemek amacıyla ebced hesabıyla bir kelime veya mısra söyleme sanatıdır. Bir geleneğin içinde yer alan Osmanlı dönemi şairleri tarafından sanat yapmak olarak kabul edilmiş ve ilgi görmüştür. Şairler, doğum, ölüm, padişahların tahta çıkışı, tayin, bir görevden azledilme, sefer, fetih, sünnet, evlenme, sakal bırakma, yangın, deprem, mimari yapıların inşası, onarımı gibi hayatın hemen her alanındaki konularda tarih manzumeleri yazmışlardır. Bu makalede, Edirne Valisi Ahmed İzzet Paşa’nın Edirne Selimiye Kütüphane’si 22 Sel 2311 arşiv numarası ile kayıtlı Divançesi’nde bulunan tarih manzumelerinin transkripli metni verilip incelemesi yapılmıştır.
One of the important types of classical Turkish literature is the art of telling a word or mısra with the ebced account in order to determine the history of an event that is appreciated or attracted. It has been recognized as art by the Ottoman poet of the time and has been interested in it. Poets, birth, death, the throne of the princes, appointment, dismissal from a task, flight, conquerion, synthesis, marriage, casting, fire, earthquake, construction, repair of architectural structures, have written historical manuscripts on the topics of almost every part of life. In this article, Edirne Governor Ahmed Izzet Pasha's Edirne Selimiye Library with the archive number 22 Sel 2311 has been given and examined the transcripted text of the historical manuscripts in the Divançesi registered.
