Genelde İslam alimleri, özelde de İslam hukukçuları ve Kur’an müfessirleri, Kur’an’ın anlaşılması ve yorumlanması konusunda çaba sarfetmiş ve Kur’an lafızlarının yorumlanmasına ilişkin çok yönlü yaklaşımlar sergilemişlerdir. Apaçık bir Arapça ile nazil olan Kur’an, bünyesinde benzer ve yakın anlamlı kavramlar kadar, çokanlamlı lafızlara da yer vermiştir. Bu makale, dini nasslarda ve özellikle de Kur’an’da yer alan çokanlamlı lafızlar konusunu işlemekte, İslam hukukçuları ve Kur’an müfessirleri ile elvücuh ve’n-nezair müelliflerinin ilahi hitapta yer alan bu lafızlara yaklaşımlarını ve bu konudaki yorum yöntemlerini ele almaktadır. Aynı zamanda, çokanlamlı lafızların anlam(lar)a delaleti konusundaki farklı yaklaşımlarını incelemektedir.
