Abstract:

Kurulumu binlerce yıl öncesine dayanan Konak (İzmir) kenti, tarih boyunca pek çok uygarlığa ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Tarihi gelişim süresi boyunca, kent bünyesine çeşitli uygarlıkların özelliğini taşıyan pek çok kimlik öğesi eklenmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında Konak (İzmir) kentinin yaklaşık 5000 yıllık geçmişi, tarihsel yöntemle incelenmiş olup; kentin kimliğiyle bütünleşmiş olan 26 adet mekân ve yapının oluşum süreçleri ortaya konulmuştur.

Abstract:

The city of Konak (Izmir), which was founded thousands of years ago, has hosted many civilizations throughout its history. Thro the history of development, many identity elements that carry the characteristics of various civilizations have been added to the city. In the framework of this study, the about 5000-year history of the city of Konak (Izmir) has been studied by historical method and the processes of formation of 26 spaces and structures that are integrated with the city’s identity have been revealed.
