Abstract:

The research aims to identify the feelings of belonging to school and the strategies of dealing with. The study group consists of 1214 students (738 girls, 476 men) studying in three different types of public schools in the Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli. The data is collected by the scale of the feeling of attachment to the school, the scale of the strategies of departure for adolescents and the personal information form. The data was analyzed with the statistical package program used for social sciences. A statistically meaningful relationship has been found between the size of the feeling of attitude to school and the size of active dealing in a positive direction at the middle level. There is a statistically meaningful but low-level relationship between the size of the sensation of belonging to the school of adolescents and the size of avoiding and negative dealing. A statistically meaningful but low-level relationship has been found between the size of the refusal feeling of adolescents and the size of active handling in the negative direction. There is a statistically meaningful but low-level relationship between the size of the refusal feeling of adolescents and the size of avoidance and negative treatment in the positive direction. The variable of belonging to the school is gender, school type, class level, the level of perceived academic success and high school selection process; the variable of dealing with the school type, class level, perceived academic success, high school selection process has determined significant differences. The findings were discussed in the framework of the area.
