Bu çalışmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının 2018 programında yer alan değerlere ilişkin görüşlerini inceleyerek değer hiyerarşilerini gerekçeleriyle birlikte ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada eğitim alanında yaygın biçimde kullanılan temel nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcı grubunu, 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim döneminde Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde yer alan bir devlet üniversitesinin eğitim fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanının katılımcı grubunun belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada belirlenen ölçüt ise “Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programları” dersini almak ve başarıyla geçmiş olmaktır. Bu ölçüte göre araştırmaya 12’si kadın, 5’i erkek olmak üzere toplam 17 sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama yöntemi olarak mülakat kullanılmıştır. Mülakatlardan elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise kuramsal (tümdengelimsel) tematik analiz yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının çoğunluğu tarafından en önemli görülen değerlerin sırasıyla saygı, adalet, vatanseverlik, sorumluluk, dürüstlük ve aile birliğine önem verme değerleri olduğu en az önemli görülen değerlerin ise estetik, yardımseverlik, tasarruf, dayanışma ve bilimsellik değerleri olduğu bulunmuştur. Öğretmen adayları 2018 öğretim programında eşitlik ve tasarruf değerlerine ilk kez yer verilmesini olumlu bir gelişme olarak değerlendirmişlerdir. Katılımcılar öğretim programı için 23 değer önerisinde bulunmuşlardır. Buna göre katılımcıların öğretim programında en çok görmeyi istedikleri değerlerin temizlik, merhamet, nezaket, alçak gönüllülük, vefa ve sabır değerleri olduğu belirlenmiştir.
The objective of this study is to examine the views of social information teachers candidates on the values included in the 2018 program and to present their values hierarchies with their reasons. For this purpose, the basic quality research design has been used widely in the field of education in the study. The group of participants in the study is formed by educational and educational candidates for social information teachers who are studying at the educational faculty of a state university located in the Black Sea Region during the 2019-2020 educational period. For the determination of the group of participants in the study, measurement sampling was used for the purpose of sampling methods. The criterion determined in the research is to take the course "Social Information Teaching Programs" and successfully pass. According to this scale, the study included a total of 17 social information teachers candidates, including 12 women and 5 men. Interviews were used as a method of data collection. In the analysis of the data obtained from interviews, the theoretical (combinative) thematic analysis approach was adopted.The study found that the most important values considered by the majority of teachers candidates are the values of respect, justice, nationality, responsibility, honesty and family unity respectively; the least important values considered are the values of aesthetics, utility, savings, tolerance and scientificity. Teacher candidates have considered the first place of equality and savings values in the 2018 curriculum as a positive development. Participants have presented 23 value recommendations for the curriculum. According to this, the values that participants most desire to see in the curriculum are the values of purity, mercy, kindness, humble volunteering, devotion and patience.
