Bu çalışma Allah Teâla’nın diğer kadınlardan ayırdığı Müslüman kadınları ele almaktadır. Nitekim Allah, onlara büyük bir önem göstermiş ve “Nisa Suresi” ismiyle tam bir sure indirerek konumlarını yüceltmiştir. Hz. Peygamber de aynı şekilde kadının üstünlüğünü beyan etmiş ve kadınlar hakkında iyiliği tavsiye etmiştir. EbûHureyre’den gelen bir rivayette Hz. Peygamber şöyle buyurmuştur: “Kadınlara özen gösterin. Çünkü kadınlar eğe kemiğinden yaratılmıştır. Eğe kemiğindeki en kıvrık olan kısım en üstüdür. O kıvrık kısmı düzeltmeye kalkarsan kırarsın. Olduğu gibi bırakırsan kıvrık halde kalmaya devam eder. Kadınlara özen gösterin.” Hz. Peygamber’in bu tavsiyesi kadınların haklarının teslim edilmesini emrettiği gibi aynı şekilde eşler, babalar ve erkek kardeşler için kadınlara özen göstermeleri, güzel muamelede bulunmaları ve onlara zulmetmemeleri konusunda emir niteliğindedir. Hadisteki “Kadınlara özen gösterin.” ifadesi göz önüne alınınca bunun herkesin görevi olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bazı durumlarda kadınlar eşlerine, eşlerinin akrabalarına veya kendi akrabalarına karşı kötü davranabilmektedir. Bu durumlarda onlara sabrı tavsiye etmek ve çözüm yolları sunmak gerekmektedir. Çünkü onlar “Eğe kemiğindeki en kıvrık olan kısım en üstüdür.” ifadesi ile hadiste de belirtiği üzere eğe kemiğinden yaratılmıştır. Bu çalışma giriş bölümü ile başlamakta daha sonra المرأة (mer’e) ve الزوجة (zevce) kelimeleri arasındaki farkı ele almaktadır. Kadınla olan şer‘î bağı (nikah) inceledikten sonra evlilik hayatında kadının haklarını ve görevlerini açıklamaktadır. Ele alınan diğer bir konu ise kadınla şer‘î bağla olmayan ilişkiler (zina) konusudur ve bu durumun Kur’ân’daki hükmüdür. Son olarak ele alınan mesele ise kadının sünnet konusundaki hakları ve buna mecbur olmamasıdır.
