Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of the activities designed according to the six-caped thinking technique on the writing attitudes and concerns of high school students. In the study that the Nicel research method was applied, the experimental pattern with the pre-test-final test control group was used. The study’s working groups were formed by thirty-eighth-class students who studied in a state school connected to the central district of Muş ili in the 2021-2022 educational year. The study includes a test and control group determined by an unselective sampling method. The Turkish lesson in the experimental group is carried out in accordance with the activities designed according to the six-capped thinking technique while the Turkish lesson in the control group is carried out according to the current programme. The work lasted eight weeks. The research has been used as data collection tools by Karakuş Tayşi and Taşkın (2018) developed "Writing Worry Scale" and "Writing Attitude Scale for High School Students" developed by Can and Topçuoğlu Ünal (2017). The data obtained in the study was analyzed using a statistical program. The research found that according to the activities of the Turkish lesson implemented in the control group, according to the Turkish lesson teaching program activities, students reduced the writing concerns and raised their attitudes towards writing. In the context of the results of the study, various recommendations have been presented.
