Deyimler, kelimelerin kendi anlamının dışında kullanılması ve kalıplaşması ile anlatıma zenginlik katan, az sözle çok şeyin ifade edilebildiği söz öbekleridir. Dilde hazır bulundukları, söz sırasında üretilmedikleri ve yıllar içinde kalıplaştıkları için deyimler üzerine yapılan çalışmalarla dilin zenginliği, anlatım biçimi, kelimelerin tarihî süreç içinde geçirdiği anlam değişmeleri gözler önüne serilebilmektedir. Tarihî Türk dili alanında görülen bazı deyimlerin Türkçenin ilişkide bulunduğu akraba olmayan dillerden kopyalandığı bilinmektedir. Bu hususta özellikle İslamiyet öncesi Türk dili alanı için Çince-Soğdca-Türkçe İslamiyet sonrası tarihî Türk dili alanı için Farsça-Türkçe ilişkileri üzerine çeşitli çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu makalede daha önce üzerinde durulmayan bir konu olarak Türkçe ilk Kur’an tercümelerinde Arapçadan Türkçeye yapılan deyim kopyaları incelenecektir.
Words are words that add richness to the narrative by the use and shaping of words outside their own meaning, with a few words and a lot of things can be expressed. Those who are ready in the language, not produced during the word, and in the years they are shaped, with the work on the words, the richness of the language, the way of narration, the meaning of the words in the historical process can be changed. It is known that some of the words seen in the historic Turkish language field are copied from non-family languages in which Turkish is in relation. In this regard, various studies have been conducted on the relations between Persian and Turkish, especially for the pre-Islamic Turkish language area, Chinese-Soğd-Turkish; for the historic Turkish language area after Islamicism. In this article, as a topic that has not previously been focused on, the first translations of the Turkish Qur’an will be examined by the translations made from Arabic to Turkish.
Idioms are phrases that add richness to a narrative by using and stereotyping words outside their own meaning, thereby expressing a lot with few words. Given that they are already present in language, they are not produced by randomly selecting words, and they can become stereotyped over the years, thus revealing the richness of the language, the way it expresses itself, and how words have changed in meaning over the course of history. When we look at the history of Turkish, we see that a sizable number of idioms had been adopted word for word from non-Turkic languages. In this regard, various studies in the field of historical linguistics have been conducted on the relationship between the pre-Islamic relationship between Chinese, Sogdian, and Turkish, as well as the post-Islamic relationship between Persian and Turkish. This study will examine idioms copied from Arabic into Turkish during the first Qur’an translations in Turkish as an issue which has not been discussed before.
