Abstract:

According to the Ministry of National Education, the adequacy of the activities included in the Science and Science curriculum in the field of laboratory safety and use techniques has been examined, the environmental conditions in which the activities are applied have been evaluated and the opinions of teachers on this subject have been tried to be determined. This study also sought to point out what the innovations and changes that come with the CLP Regulations and how the storage, storage and removal of chemicals should be. The study’s work group constitutes 6 science teachers working in different primary schools associated with National Education in the 2015-2016 educational year in Ankara and the National Education Ministry’s primary education science curriculum books. The expert’s opinion was requested to ensure the validity of the content-cover of the questions in the semi-configured interview form prepared by the researcher and after the necessary corrections were made, the sample was applied to the group. In this quality study, the literature scan was used by the methods of data collection and the examination of documents. Data analysis is mainly used for content analysis (coding and submission) and, where necessary, for a quote from the interview data, for the visual analysis method. The document review, which was conducted as a result, showed significant results in terms of the adoption of the necessary safety measures and the knowledge of the laboratory use technique; the classification, labelling, storage of chemicals and compounds and the study of new risk signs (pitograms) according to the CLP/SEA regulations. It is also believed that this work contributes to the current monitoring of the area.
