So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

2022
Author:
Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial performance of banks. It is divided into two groups as pre-COVID-19 period and the COVID-19 period. Thus, the financial ratios of the banks for the 9-quarter periods were compared in terms of the pre-COVID-19 period and the COVID-19 period. The data of 8 deposit banks in the BIST Banking index were used in the research. In the study, banks were examined in terms of a total of 13 variables and 6 categories: capital adequacy, asset quality, foreign exchange net general position, income-expenditure structure, market performance, and profitability. Paired t-test was used to compare two dependent groups in empirical analysis. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the capital adequacy, asset quality, foreign exchange net general position, and income-expenditure structure ratios of banks were affected in the COVID 19 period. In addition, although there was no significant change in the profitability of banks during the COVID 19 period compared to the pre-COVID-19 period, a statistically significant increase was determined in the market performances.
