Bu araştırmanın amacı kadına şiddeti önlemeye yönelik sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma Bartın İl merkezinde bulunan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı resmi okullarda görev yapan 50 sınıf öğretmeni üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırma modeli betimseldir. Betimsel model, var olan bir durumu olduğu gibi yansıtan araştırma yaklaşımıdır. Araştırmada katılımcıların belirlenmesinde örneklem yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemi, araştırmacıya zaman, masraf ve katılımcılara ulaşma yönünden kolaylık sağlayan örnekleme yöntemidir. Araştırmada verilerin toplanması için 4 maddeden oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Formun geliştirilmesi sürecinde uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. İçerik analizi yöntemi, birbirine benzeyen verileri belirli temalar çerçevesinde birleştirmek olarak ifade edilmektedir. Katılımcıların yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formunda bulunan sorulara verdikleri cevaplar kodlanmış, sonra bu kodlar temalara ayrılmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin analizinde istatistiksel yöntem ve tekniklerden yüzde hesaplamaları kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmenlerinin %93,87’i kadının toplumda şiddete maruz kaldığını, %78,72’si kadının toplumda şiddete maruz kalmasında ataerkil aile yapısının etkili olduğu yönünde görüş bildirmişlerdir. Araştırmada sınıf öğretmenleri kadına yönelik şiddeti önlemeye dair alınabilecek en önemli tedbirlerin nitelikli eğitim ve yasal düzenlemeler olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Bunun yanında öğretmenlerin çoğunluğu, ataerkil aile yapısı, cinsiyet eşitsizliği, kadının toplumda değer görmemesi gibi faktörlerin kadına yönelik şiddetin temel nedenleri olduğunu düşünmektedirler.
The aim of this research is to examine the views of primary teachers on preventing violence against women. The research was carried out on 50 classroom teachers working in public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Bartın. The research model is descriptive. The descriptive model is a research approach that reflects an existing situation as it is. Easily accessible sampling method, one of the sampling methods, was used to determine the participants in the research. The easily accessible sampling method is a sampling method that provides convenience to the researcher in terms of time, expense and access to the participants. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 4 items was used to collect data in the research. Semi-structured interview form was developed by the researcher. Expert opinion was sought during the development of the form. Content analysis method was used in the evaluation of the data obtained in the research. Content analysis method is expressed as combining similar data within the framework of certain themes. The answers given by the participants to the questions in the semi-structured interview form was coded, and then these codes was divided into themes. Percentage calculations from statistical methods and techniques was used in the analysis of the data in the research. As a result of the research, 93.87% of the primary teachers stated that women were exposed to violence in the society, and 78.72% stated that the patriarchal family structure was effective in the exposure of women to violence in the society. In the research, primary teachers stated that the most important measures that can be taken to prevent violence against women are qualified education and legal regulations. Besides the majority of teachers think that factors such as patriarchal family structure, gender inequality, and the lack of value of women in society are the main causes of violence against women.
