Abstract:

This study aims to examine the technology planning visions of the schools in question and their practices in this direction, in accordance with the views of the managers who have served in the foreign languages high schools of seven different universities in Turkey in the last year and are still doing, in accordance with the developments in the relevant field. The data was collected through an investigation developed by the researcher, examining the relevant area. The study found that, in general, the data collected schools have not yet developed the qualifications specified in the field in the theoretical and practical contexts of technological planning. On the other hand, the state and foundation universities have shown that they are in a clear difference in the context of technology planning, technology-related systems, vehicle and professional development activities. While the foundation universities are increasingly effectively pursuing innovative practices and trends, public universities have serious problems in budget, staff and bureaucracy points in developing their technological planning visions. It is immediately the fact that all high schools do not have a structured decision-making mechanism based on their problems related to technology planning and integration, and they do not have sufficient staff and knowledge support in the field of technology specialization.
