The study’s data on the impact of cognitive flexibility on cognitive emotional regulation was obtained from 300 university participants who were studying. The cognitive flexibility inventory, the cognitive emotional regulation scale and the sociodemographic data form have been used. The study finds that the “alternative” level in cognitive flexibility, the “accusation of others”, the “fatalization”, the “positive re-focus”, the “re-focus to plan”, the “positive re-evaluation” and the “self accusation” and the “rumination” levels in cognitive emotional arrangement are negative. The level of “control” in cognitive flexibility, the level of “accuse yourself”, the level of “accuse others” in cognitive emotional arrangement, the level of “rumination”, the level of “positive re-focus” and the level of “re-focus on planning” are negative. In addition, women tend to "accuse others" at a higher level than men in cognitive emotional arrangement, while men tend to be higher than women, while cognitive flexibility does not differ in women and men. In cognitive flexibility and cognitive emotional arrangement, the age factor has not made a significant difference.
The data of this study were gained from 300 students. Cognitive Flexibility Questionnaire, Cognitive Emotional Regulation Questionnaire and Sociodemographic data form were administered to the participants. As the results of this study; “alternatives” levels for cognitive flexibility, “other-blame”, “catastrophizing”, “positive refocusing”, “refocus on planning”, “positive reappraisal” for cognitive emotional regulation were predicted as positive; “self-blame” and “rumination” levels were predicted as negative. “Control” levels for cognitive flexibility, “self-blame”, “other blame” levels for cognitive emotional regulation were predicted as positive; “rumination”, “positive refocusing” and “planning” were predicted as negative. “Other blame” levels for cognitive emotional regulation were higher in female participants rather than male. “Catastrophizing” levels were on behalf of male participants. There was no difference between genders for cognitive flexibility levels. The age variance was shown no difference neither for cognitive flexibility nor cognitive emotional regulation.
