Abstract:

The use of terrorism as a political tool is not new. It is possible to talk about the existence of terror throughout history. But with the 21st century, terrorism has undergone a global transformation and has ranked first in security matters. In this regard, the terrorist work has accelerated and focused much more on the factors that trigger terrorism. Terrorism in the Eastern and Western axis may have arisen for many political, economic, and sociological reasons, or for a combination of these reasons. It has also been effective in the emergence or support of terror, either indirectly or directly, the way the East and the West recognize each other. 20 is. And from the 21st century, the victorious West has moved its orientalistic perspective a step forward and created neo-oriantalism along with globalization. Thus, the ruling West tried to export its values to the whole world. But this neo-oryantic interaction, which is established without understanding and taking into account the essence of the East, can be perceived by the East as a threat to its own culture and existence. According to this study, it is clear that this form of perception supports terrorism or contributes to the formation of terrorism.
