Abstract:

Immigration makes significant changes in human life. Immigrants cannot leave their values at a moment while continuing their lives in a country with a different language, religion and culture. Therefore, their adaptation to the society they migrated covers a long breathing process. In 1961, the Turks who went to work from Turkey to Germany due to their workforce had serious problems with the harmony. The fact that the Germans forget that those who come are humans and see them only as labour forces has led the Turks to be closed within themselves. As a result of the migration, Turkish writers who went to Germany, the issue of migration and their results as a subject in their literary works made it possible for these works to be included in the Immigrant Literature. In this study, 16 Turkish writers who migrated to Germany for economic, political, and family reasons, examined how they dealt with the subject of harmony in 39 stories in 23 works. In his works, Turkish writers have studied the problems that the Turks experience in their adaptation to Germany, the effects of the anti-immigration policies of the Germans on the Turks and the developing reactions against them, and how they addressed the problems that the Turks arise in their adaptation to Germany due to the conflict of generations.
