Плотность заселения, возникшая в докерамический период неолита, особенно в начале девятого тысячелетия до н. э. и увеличение количества подобных населенных пунктов, показывает, насколько привлекательным был регион Шанлыурфа в период неолита. Связи между комплексами были более сильными, чем предполагалось, это можно было заметить еще в прошлых по схожести раскопках. Эти комплексы Сефер-Тепе, Курт-Тепе, Хамзан-Тепе, Ташлы-Тепе, Карахан и Харбецуван-Тепе имеют, в особенности похожие черты с плитами Т-образной формы. Раскопки на Харбецуван-Тепе окончательно показали, что существует новый комплекс, который является вторым культовым комплексом, за исключением Гёбекли-Тепе. Кроме того, с 2019 года на Карахан-Тепе, который находится в 7 км к северо-востоку от Харбецуван-Тепе, начались раскопки, которые еще раз доказывают важность этого уникального сооружения, проводимые на Харбецуван-Тепе.
